College Football Picks Oklahoma vs Miami Headline Week 5
69College Football Picks with Spreads Week 5
Nothing like another exciting college football weekend coming up.
Last week was full of upsets and surprises and I am sure we'll have more in store this weekend.
We saw Tim Tebow go down with an injury, #4 ranked Ole Miss get upset at South Carolina, Florida State get shocked at their own home versus USF, and Miami finally taste defeat at the hands of old nemsis Virginia Tech.
And in off the field news, we also heard about the unfortunate incident of USC running back Stafon Johnson who had a weight fall on his throat during training. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and it is positive news that the surgery was a success.
We shall see if last week's action will continue onto this week's as we have some big games in-store
Now on to the picks!
My record so far Weeks 1 thru 4 stands at 9-4 (69%)

Oklahoma Sooners at Miami Hurricanes (+7)
Very interesting match-up indeed.
The Sooners added this game a few months after their National Title loss to Florida, in what was a surprising move. I was truely excited and very much looked forward to this match-up ever since.
Then came the first game of the season and Sam Bradford injured his shoulder vs BYU. I was hoping that he could come back for this game because I knew Miami was going to field a better team this year and it was going to be competitive.
Despite the uncertainty of Bradford being able to play this game, it should still be a good one. Miami has proven that it is a much better team than last year, with a record of 3-1 having defeated 2 ranked teams thus far despite losing Virginia Tech last week.
Oklahoma has put the pieces back together since that opening weekend loss, and it appears their defense is the strength of their team thus far.
But now Oklahoma is going to be put to the test of whether they can beat Miami at their home place. Miami's defense is fast and if Bradford decides to play, he could be in for a long day.
Miami is a young team and I believe they learned a valuable lesson last week. They have the talent to defeat Oklahoma but whether or not they do it will remain to be seen.
Take Miami (+7)
Auburn Tigers at Tennessee Vols (-2)
I have a feeling that this line will move as the week goes on. Auburn defeated a mistake driven West Virginia team last week while Tennessee had the week off to think about their Florida loss.
Despite one of these teams having a winning record while the other doesn't, I think Tennessee has a good chance of beating Auburn at home. Tennessee proved during their match-up with Florida that they can play some solid D and run the ball effectively. I think Auburn has gotten it easy with a few teams that aren't that good. Auburn's defense seems to be struggling a little allowing 24 points to Mississippi State and 30 to West Virginia, and 30 to Ball State. I think Tennessee shuts down Auburn and pulls out a victory.
Take Tennessee (-2)
Ohio State at Indiana (+17)
Ohio State has blanked it's last two opponents in Toledo and Illinois and now must have play a some-what surprising Indiana team. Indiana is 3-1 and proved it is somewhat a decent team by hanging with Michigan at the big house for a 36-33 loss.
Ohio State really hasn't impressed me much in losing to an overrated USC team and beating a somewhat suspect Illinois team. If Indiana shows the life as it did versus Michigan this could be a tough contest for OSU.
Take Indiana (+17)
Michigan at Michigan State (-2)
Cross-state rivals face off in an important game for both teams. Michigan State is on a nasty 3-game losing streak, losing close games to Central Michigan, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin. Now in come the Wolverines who come in with an unbeaten record (weird hearing that after last season) at 4-0.
The difference between these teams (despite both not so stellar on the defensive side of the ball) is that Michigan seems to win close games while Michigan State does the opposite. MSU has struggled against QB's this year and I like Tate Forcier's winning ways despite being a freshman. The only thing that worries me is that Michigan has yet to play a road game. But I think Michigan gets by.

I disagree with you on your two of your picks this week, I am a Vols fan and Jonathan Crompton is the worst QB in Tenn. history, he reminds me of Jake Delhome of the Panthers...nothing but int's. The other game is Ohio State, I think they win big...Indiana played the game of their lives last week, big let down, Ohio State beats up on their confrence folks. But hey I'm predicting about 45% on college and your at 69%.
