StubHub Will Advertise On UFL Player's Helmets

Well, the UFL (United Football League) is definitely doing something the NFL isn't- it's taking advertising to the next level.

Taking a page from NASCAR, the UFL will advertise online ticket broker StubHub on it's players helmets during televised games this season. This comes in part of an agreement with Stubhub as they will considered one of the league's "Premiere" season foundation partners, and exclusive secondary ticketing partner.

This is a new approach when it comes to American Football, but it is not uncommon in other countries, especially when it comes to Soccer (or Futbol) around the world.

I suppose the UFL has to try things differently in order to survive, especially when they are essentially playing head-to-head with the NFL-sorta.

The United Football League's season will start Oct. 10th, but a lot of their regular season games will be shown on Thursday and Friday.

Geez, I know Simeon Rice--a year ago, he failed a physical with the New York Giants! Advertising for StubHub.Com is certainly a smart move by the UFL. But I'm not sure if those legal-on-line scalper superpower can save them. I'm a bit pessimistic about the UFL and don't think that it will survive. Thanks for the read!

Yeah Simeon was on our team, too.

The jury is still out on how this league will perform-if it will draw any interest. They do have some familiar names from the NFL here and there. Only time will tell. But I would not be surprised if they do become a developmental league for the NFL.

Thanks for your comment Dohn.
